Why Story

This is deeper than presentation skills.

Most leaders are clear. Most professionals are competent. Most presentations are… fine. Fine doesn't move people. Fine doesn't change culture. Fine doesn't get remembered.

The Art of Story is not a slide-design class or a delivery-technique workshop. It is a four-day immersion built around a single outcome: the one story that distills your vision, carries real tension and emotion, and keeps resonating long after you've left the stage.

Storytelling matters for leaders because it creates meaning, not just messages. In complex, dynamic environments, story is what turns information into clarity and purpose - and aligns hearts and minds to a single vision.

What leaders say

On working with our facilitators.

Caroline Berglund leads much of the coaching in the room. Here's what senior leaders say about the experience of being coached by her and the team.

"Caroline has a natural energy and passion for leadership. She holds nothing back as she challenges you to confront and question the status quo, encouraging you to take the risks necessary for leaders in the modern workplace. The authenticity of her message will provide you with the skills and strategies necessary to inspire positive change within your own teams. Her ability to connect with cohort members on a personal level, and her ongoing support and encouragement, set her apart from other leadership facilitators."

- Jeff Bolan, Supervisor, St. Lawrence Seaway

"My collaboration with Caroline was truly transformative for my career trajectory. Her support transformed my perspective and helped me become a people manager with greater empathy and effectiveness, able to approach difficult conversations with confidence. She saw a leader where I had always seen a background player, and her confidence in my abilities inspired me to broaden the work I do with clients and coworkers. Anyone fortunate enough to work with Caroline will experience remarkable growth and lasting positive impact."

- Sarah Hartlen, Administrative Operations Manager, Aon

"Working with Caroline was both clarifying and energising. She provided an exceptional sounding board, helping me step back, gain perspective, and make more deliberate decisions at key moments in my career. She brings a rare combination of strategic insight, candor, and motivation - challenging assumptions, sharpening thinking, and driving accountability, all while remaining highly professional and supportive. I would strongly recommend her to any executive or senior leader seeking clarity, focus and meaningful professional development."

- Shaun Went, General Manager, AGF Rebar

"Caroline delivered a leadership session that was engaging, presented with confidence and genuinely enjoyable to attend. She struck a great balance between professionalism and humour, which kept the team involved and comfortable participating. Her insights were practical, clearly communicated, and immediately applicable to real workplace situations. I'd highly recommend her to any team looking to introduce a more comprehensive understanding of what motivates people into their leadership approach."

- Darcy Lane, Executive Chef, Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer

"Caroline instantly came across as a person who cares more about sharing and creating positive impact than the success that comes from it. Her super power of using kindness to get to reality was on full display - it was one of the most impactful one-hour conversations I will ever have. I believe Caroline is truly one of a kind. The people she impacts are better for having met her."

- Mike Vance, Learning & Development Manager

"Caroline is an amazing partner. I cannot recommend her strongly enough to any organization hoping to educate and support leadership development within their managers."

- Lori Maida, Director, Human Resources, McCarthy Tétrault

"Andre, Patricia, Caroline, Jason, and Frank, I want to send out a heartfelt and very sincere thank you to all of you for your time, guidance, stories, feedback, and all-around inspiration on this storytelling journey. I feel like I learned a little bit of something from each of you, and while at first I was terrified, I loved this storytelling workshop experience. Friday night was amazing. An extra special thanks to Jason, whose incredibly astute, quick, and thoughtful feedback made my story a little bit better every time I had a moment with him. Jason, you pushed me out of my comfort zone, but made doing so a comfortable experience somehow. Thank you! I won't forget this experience."

- Cathy Niergarth, Director

"Thank you so much Patricia! I learned a lot from you over the past few weeks and really enjoyed getting to know you. I felt really good about sharing my story and I'm glad I decided to stick with it like you suggested. I hope we get to work together again soon too."

- Nico Miller, Senior Manager

"Thank you Patricia! I really appreciate the feedback and all the support throughout the workshop. I delivered my second story yesterday at a leadership event. Different story, focused on collaboration, but using the principles from the storytelling workshop. It went really well! There were four team members asked to share stories and I can say that mine was the only one with a true hook, turning point, and call to action. I definitely feel empowered with my new skillset!"

- Keri Adams, Director

"As a leader, learning to tell compelling stories is essential, and this program delivered exactly that. The coaching team helped me look beneath the surface of my storytelling - refining the language I use and honing in on the actual impact of my message. The insights I gained from Patricia have noticeably strengthened my leadership presence."

- Rosanna Jackson, Managing Director

"I can't recommend the facilitation team at The Art of Story enough. They brought a unique mix of fun, sensitivity, and directness, creating a space that felt both safe and energizing from the start. Through thoughtful exercises, they helped us relax, connect, and begin shaping our stories with confidence. What really stood out was their clear guidance and practical frameworks. They taught us how to craft a powerful five-minute story by tapping into genuine emotion - whether laughter or vulnerability - which made each story resonate on a deeper level. The connections built throughout the workshop added real depth to the experience, with strong support from both facilitators and participants. If you want to elevate your communication through storytelling, The Art of Story is a game changer."

- Tammy Ward, Managing Director
